Conservation Reserve Program

The Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) offers qualifying landowners technical and financial assistance to convert crop land and certain types of marginal pasture land into riparian buffers, windbreaks, and other plantings designed to improve wildlife habitat, conserve water and soil resources, and other benefits.

The CRP is administered by the Farm Service Agency and technical assistance is provided by the Natural Resources Conservation Service. For more information about eligibility and types of assistance please visit the FSA’s CRP page and the NRCS’s CRP page.
